They are all located in different parts of the country, which makes each one unique and interesting in its own way. As for prices, they are almost the same at all resorts, so it's up to you to decide where to go on vacation.

Gudauri

Gudauri Ski Resort is located in Mtskheta-Mtianeti. It is located in the northern part of Georgia near the border with Russia. There are 75 km of prepared ski and snowboarding tracks for skiing and snowboarding. The small village attracts tourists with its smooth slopes without obstacles and a long snowy winter. Gudauri stands on the slope of the main mountain range of the Caucasus Mountains. The winter sports zone is located between 1993 and 3276 meters. Gudauri is the largest and highest ski resort in Georgia.

Bakuriani

Bakuriani Ski Resort is one of the most famous villages in the country. Bakuriani Ski Resort is located in Samtskhe-Javakheti. Thousands of tourists come here every winter to ski. The ski resort offers trails that are suitable for beginners and professionals. There are slopes for cross-country skiing. The winter sports area is located between the heights of 1740 and 2702 m. It is convenient to get there from Tbilisi; the distance to the Georgian capital is 180 kilometers.

Goderdzi

Goderdzi Ski Resort is located in the Autonomous Republic of Adjara. One of the new Georgian complexes. The resort is only 100 kilometers from the sea coast, so it is best to go here from Batumi. There is practically no road, only a direction. The winter sports area is located between the heights of 1700 and 2364 m. There are only 13 kilometers of trails and 2 lifts.

Hatsvali

Hatsvali — Mestia Ski Resort is located in Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti. It is located 6 kilometers from the village of Mestia in Svaneti. Georgian authorities call this region one of the most promising in terms of tourism. Since 2009, Mestia and surrounding villages have been actively developed, and mountain slopes have been receiving trails and lifts. Almost all vacationers are happy with the absence of queues and crowds of skiers on all tracks.

Tetnuldi

Tetnuldi Ski Resort opened in 2016. It is now the newest and most modern resort in the country. Immediately after its opening, it surpassed almost all competitors, and is second only to Gudauri in size. The winter sports area is located between the heights of 1868 and 2348 meters. The resort is located in Upper Svaneti, 25 kilometers from the village of Mestia, at the foot of Mount Tetnuldi with a height of 4,869 meters.

Features

The snowy peaks of the Caucasus attract you like a magnet with their incredible beauty and endless opportunities for skiing and snowboarding. All ski resorts in Georgia have modern slopes, lifts and excellent quality snow. The tracks in Georgia are interesting and of different levels of difficulty. It often happens that the blue track turns to the red track and vice versa - the slopes are very different, some of them are difficult to attribute to the same category of difficulty. For beginners, there are equipped short sections of tracks with a slight difference in altitude, and for experienced athletes there are a lot of opportunities, including heli-skiing and freeride zones.

season

Ski resorts in Georgia are usually open from November to May, but the peak season is from December to March, when the mountains have the most snow. The climate here is quite mild, the air temperature is about -1... -3°C, and best of all, it is sunny and calm: the Caucasus Mountains protect the whole country from continental cyclones. Depending on the location of the resort, the length of the season may vary.

road

You can get to the resorts from three major cities in Georgia: Tbilisi, Kutaisi or Batumi. All have international airports. Land border with Russia, Turkey, Armenia and Azerbaijan. You will find taxi drivers at any airport, bus and train stations in major cities. From the airport, there can be direct buses or minibuses to the resort, or transport to the city center or bus station, from where you can also go to the resort by public transport. You can rent a car or drive your own. The roads to most resorts are difficult.
