The most convenient way to get to the resort is from Batumi. There are direct flights around 10 am from the bus station, the price is 20-30 GEL, on the road up to 5 hours, check with minibus drivers at the station. There is only one Trans-Ajara highway leading from the city, and the first 40 kilometers are quite pleasant and asphalted. You will have to go with a transfer. From the main bus station in Batumi, minibuses run every 30 minutes to Khulo, the journey takes 2.5 hours. In Khulo, look for an information center near the place of arrival, from which tour buses depart to the resort itself — once a day at 11:00am.
Transfer, taxi
The best solution in this area. Private traders travel from both Batumi and Khulo. The last option is the most convenient and cheapest — it is only 23 kilometers from Khulo to the ski lifts. Transfers are also organized from other cities, but the price will be higher.
On your own
The 40 km from Keda to Khulo, and especially the last stretch to Goderdzi, is another challenge. After Ked, priming begins, and after Khulo, it is almost off-road. Locals also drive ordinary cars, but they advise you to take an all-wheel drive jeep if you decide. In winter, it is almost impossible to drive without an SUV and chains. Bulldozers are often present on the site to help pull the car out.
From Tbilisi
Sometimes you can get there by two minibuses, first to Akhaltsikhe, then to Goderdzi. They drive regularly, but the road in these places is almost always very bad. In winter, the last section can only be reached by snowcat. Therefore, it is not recommended to travel from Tbilisi to the resort purposefully.
