You can get to the resort from three major cities in Georgia: Tbilisi, Kutaisi or Batumi. All have international airports. From anywhere in the country, you will first need to get to Mestia. It's easy to get to Hatsvali from Mestia: you just need to take a cable car.
Transfer, taxi
You will find taxi drivers at any airport, bus and train stations in major cities. Another option is to rent a car. Roads in Georgia are not easy. In winter, when the track is freezing and covered with snow, you need to take four-wheel drive.
From Tbilisi
The farthest way from Tbilisi is 480 kilometers. Buses depart from Tbilisi Airport and Train Station every day as they fill up. The journey to Mestia takes 8-9 hours. From the same station, a train leaves every day at 20:00 to Zugdidi, and from there any minibus to Mestia will take you. The journey takes 10 hours in total. Charters for 15 people fly from Natakhtari Airport to Mestia every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 9:00am. The flight takes only 1.5 hours. One passenger is allowed to carry a maximum of 15 kg of luggage.
From Batumi
First, find a flight to Zugdidi at the bus station, and from there take a bus to Mestia. In total, the road is 270 kilometers, slightly farther than from Kutaisi. But no direct flights.
From Kutaisi
The road to the Khatsvali ski resort from Kutaisi will take 240 kilometers. Buses run regularly between Kutaisi and Mestia, either directly or with a transfer to Zugdidi. Departures from the bus station every day, the exact schedule changes every season — check on site. There are also charter flights.
